There are a few bars and restaurants near Chalet Woodline, and all the shops you need in Morzine (4km away) and Avoriaz, which can be reached in a few minutes by cable car. The Morzine Tourist Office organises numerous events and activities throughout the year.

About the property…

Chalet Woodline is an elegant three-storey chalet for up to seven guests (six adults plus one  child). It has three bedrooms, an additional sleeping nook and two bathrooms.

You'll enter the chalet on the garden level, where you'll find a covered garage for two cars, a laundry room with a washing machine and dryer, and a ski store.

On the next floor, a bright living area with large floor-to-ceiling windows has a seating area with a corner sofa, television and a wood-burning stove. The well-equipped kitchen has an electric oven, an induction hob, a microwave and a large American-style fridge. A central counter separates it from the dining area, where you enjoy the stunning views while you eat. In good weather you can eat on the furnished terrace, which leads on to the flat garden.

This floor also has a double bedroom with a television and access to the terrace, as well as a charming sleeping nook with a single bed suitable for a child. They are served by an elegant bathroom,  which is en suite to the double bedroom, with a bath, a spacious shower and a double sink, as well as a separate toilet.

Those seeking a little entertainment will find it in the games and reading area.

There are two more double bedrooms on the top floor of Chalet Woodline, both of which can be converted into twin rooms, depending on your needs. They share a balcony, a shower room with double sinks, and a separate toilet. The landing has been converted into a play area for children, making this floor the perfect family area.

About the area…

Morzine, in the heart of the Vallée d'Aulps and surrounded by mountains, is between Les Gets and Avoriaz, about 1hr 40min from Geneva Airport by car. This popular Savoyard resort attracts families and fans of outdoor sports, thanks to its lively centre, its “Famille Plus” label, its weekly market and its authentic atmosphere, which is as conducive to relaxation as it is to adventure.

In winter, Morzine is part of the ski areas of Les Gets–Morzine, with its 120km of slopes, and of the Portes du Soleil, which offers 600km of skiing between France and Switzerland. Skiers can enjoy a huge and varied terrain, while Nordic skiing and freeriding enthusiasts will also find plenty to keep them busy. Non-skiers can enjoy ice skating (indoor and outdoor), snowmobiling, ice-climbing, sledging and, of course, snowshoeing or dog sledding.

During the rest of the year, Morzine is a paradise for outdoor activities, with two summer toboggan runs, a tree-top adventure park and a large aquatic centre. The Parc des Dérêches has swimming pools, tennis courts, a skate park, a wellness area and a horse riding centre. Numerous trails lead to high-altitude lakes and spectacular viewpoints, and a vast bike park attracts mountain bikers. You can also enjoy paragliding, climbing, via ferrata, kayaking, canyoning, rafting and more. Finally, don't forget to visit Montriond where you can swim in the lake, take a walk to the Brochaux waterfalls or visit a local cheese farm.
